DESCRIPTION:Training Program: Through concentrated programming designed to move young emerging dancers forward on their dance career paths\, PHILADANCO‘s Instruction and Training Program has two primary skills development and performing opportunities for youth with vary levels of aptitude who have demonstrated their desire for a professional career in dance. These classes along with their regular access to training have produced a steady flow of well trained and experience artists. \nD/2 (Danco 2) 2nd Company of PHILADANCO – Artistic Director Donald Lunsford\nForeseeing the need to cultivate young aspiring dancers (ages 16-23) who show promise of continuing towards a professional dance career\, PHILADANCO created the Danco 2 (D/2) Apprentice Company. Through an extensive evaluation process\, members of D/2 are selected and are then trained in professional level classes. D/2 performs locally and in the surrounding counties about 25 times a year and is featured in the annual Danco on Danco concert. \nD/2 (PHILADANCO’s 2nd Company)  \n\nForeseeing the need to cultivate young aspiring dancers (16-23)\, who show promise of continuing towards a professional dance career. DESCRIPTION:Philadanco’s Audition Update Notice \n    As we are all aware\, COVID-19 cases are again on the rise. Over the course of the holiday season\, unfortunately there has been an uptick in positive COVID-19 cases prompting the closing of over 80 schools and Businesses in Philadelphia. The health and safety of our dancers\, staff members and all who enter our facility is of the utmost importance.   Philadanco as an organization follows all the CDC COVID-19 protocols. \nFor precautionary measures Philadanco’s Artistic Administration has decided to postpone the upcoming In-Person Company Audition Sunday\, January 9\, 2022. Please send your resume\, headshot\, and dance/performance reels to be reviewed by the Artistic Team. All audition materials must be received by Monday\, January 10\, 2022.  Dancers will be notified via email on Monday\, January 24\, 2022\, on the outcome of the review process. \n    Thank you for your continued interest in Philadanco.  We know this is disappointing news on the cancellation of the audition – but Safety First.  \nWearing your Mask\, staying home when sick\, washing your hands and social distancing can help limit the transmission of Covid during this surge.  \nWe are all in this together! \nIf you have additional questions\, please contact company.philadanco@gmail.com \nThank you!
